Pretty Hair Clips and Grips

Sometimes when it's taking me a while to make something, it's good to take a break and do something that gives quick results.

It's a great way to combine my love of buttons, felt and fiddling with bits and pieces.

They're so simple to make and something Imogen and I can do together with quick results.

I have so many buttons, it takes a while to muddle through them to find a pair... but it gives me an excuse to spend time with my buttons... oh dear, do I sound a bit sad now!

Imogen loves doing different things with her hair so can never have too many hair slides and grips, and they're something quick and easy to make and sell on my folksy and facebook pages.

The bottom ones are sparkling, but it doesn't show well in the picture.

Have to have some crochet too...

So simple to make (must do a little tutorial in the future) if anyone's interested.

I have 99 followers on here now, how lovely people are. I think it's about time I have a giveaway. I'll just wait to reach 100 :)

Take care

  5. What a perfectly simple and delightful idea. I have some plain hair slides of Bella's that would benefit from some perking up with buttons and a glue gun! Great idea. x

  9. HI Cheryl
Thank you for dropping by my Blog - it led me to your gorgeous blog ! Your button hairclips are absolutely perfect - I wear lots of hairclips and have bought button ones before, they're just that little bit different. You're so clever to have made these.
I also saw your post about your little dogs and having dogs ourselves I cannot imagine how tough this must have been. My daughter has just got a little Chihuahua puppy and we are all totally in love. Of course she had to have special crocheted puppy blankets !
