A little Christmas Cheer

Yes it's started, time to start getting ready for the Christmas festivities.

Tentative shopping lists are being made as we try to pin Imogen down to writing a Christmas list now so we can break up the present buying and making.

Don't forget to enter my giveaway to win a choice of 2 books, they'd make excellent presents... and there's still plenty of time to enter... bit disappointed that there aren't many entries :(

I've been busy making little stockings to be used as Christmas garlands. They look quite sweet over the fireplace.

I thought I may make a long one to use as a countdown to advent.

Fill the stockings with little gifts and chocolates.

I'm trying to be a little more organised this year (not holding my breath though), so I'm better prepared if any nasty lurgies strike like they did last year!

Have a happy weekend

Take care

  1. I love your garland! I really need to get into gear with Christmas crafting, I might have to dedicate a weekend to being Santa's elf and turn the kitchen into a workshop...Chrissie x

  3. I love your stockings bunting. I've been looking round the sales for little stocking fillers for my daughter but haven't come across anything yet - that's as much planning as I'm doing for a while though. x

  7. I'm entered too. Hoping for a new book! One of my addictions! I bought the cutest old (well not that old, 1971!) Pooh book and it has honey recipes!!! Love the stockings. Crochet? Where did you find the pattern?

  9. The garland is adorable. I also like to break up the shopping and spread it out a little bit. Trying to do it all at Christmas time can be daunting. Following you and your sweet blog. Have a great weekend! :)

  11. Your garland is adorable! It looks perfect on the white fireplace. Mine is light-colored painted bricks (the real bricks are white cement and ugly, so we painted them) and that would look nice on mine too. Maybe I'll try making one. :)

  13. The stocking garland is so cute, it looks lovely adorning the fireplace. I saw a good deal on today for one of Eleanor's Christmas presents so I grabbed it, a bit early, I know, but I couldn't let it pass by.
