Crossing the Bridge

I've written about our magnificent bridge before. I'm always in such awe of it and love going across, enjoying the view and pretending with Imogen that we're flying.

It's quite breathtaking , the size of it, and was built before I moved here. It must have been quite a sight watching being erected.

The views as you travel over are wonderful

Certainly not done justice by my point and snap camera from within the car on such a dreary day.

We were just nipping over the bridge to visit a garden centre in Brigg. It's an enormous place and we spent a lovely couple of hours wandering around, being careful of the wildlife

Popped in the restaurants for a lovely cup of tea and slice of cake, and visited the Christmas grottos, that  have such beautiful decorations and ideas... unlike these two...

The rest of the weekend has been spent indoors, cuddling up together

and relaxing

Take care

  3. Can you see the bridge from your house? I enjoy looking at bridges but sometimes I feel nervous going across them. I enjoyed the photos of Imogen with the gorilla, she's a cutie. :)

    1. Not from or house. I don't mind going as a passenger, but used to be white knuckled if I was driving xx

  7. I'm not very good with heights so I'm not a lover of bridges. The engineering involved though is amazing. I love that last photo, brings out the ahhhh factor.

  9. Looks like a fun day - Imogen looks sweet in the arms of the gorilla and the grotto pic is funny with those two hamming around, haha! Your little furry friends are looking so cute and can I say, cuddly - how lovely.

  12. How fun to find this post about "our Bridge"! It's been a while since I've seen it but I have fond memories of watching it being built and then bike rides over the bridge!
