Where did October go? Time is definitely getting away from us at the moment and last weeks half term went by in a finger snap.
It was my mum's birthday on Sunday so we wanted to do something special, even more so after the horrendous year my parents have had. It was half term last week so it seemed a good opportunity for Imogen to go and spend a few days with her grandparents, perhaps help her granny out a bit as well as spending time with them (Imogen adores her granny and wishes so much that they lived closer to us). Adam and his family took Imogen down at the beginning of the holiday, we were supposed to go as well, but I was full of a nasty cold and as my dad is waiting for heart surgery he mustn't get ill. My mum was able to spend some good quality time with her great grandson as they stayed over and had a lovely time with Imogen too. Andrew and I went down at the end of the week to pick her up (I tried to keep my distance from dad so he wouldn't catch any germs from me) and had a lovely afternoon and good catch up.
I need to establish a routine that fits our new little charge in and still gives me some crafting time as well as everything else that needs doing. How easily one forgets how much time little ones gobble up, though worth every minute, just look how sweet Zack is in his little Gruffalo jumper.
I've managed to spend a bit more time on the cross stitching for Zack's stocking. Last timeI showed you
it's starting to take a bit more shape now. Still a long way to go, but you can see the snowman beginning to appear with the little penguin on his hat.
I've also been doing some crochet on a jumper for Imogen. Last time on here I showed you the rib with the marble yarn
I've done the front design now so it's on track for Christmas.
I haven't spent any time in my craft room for a couple of weeks, so I'm hoping I may have an evening there soon. I have so many ideas of things I want to make and do, just in need of more time. It hasn't helped having a nasty cold and wow, hasn't the temperature dropped all of a sudden!
Here's another photo of our beautiful grandson having fun with his nanny and grandpops.
Take care

I think I've said it before but I'll say it again. I wish I lived near you, I would love you to teach me to crochet you are do skilled. Love the snowman and jumper.
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you Tania x
DeleteI don't know where the time's going either, it doesn't seem two minutes since last Christmas and yet this Christmas is nearly upon us already. Zack is so cute and he looks so cosy in his Gruffalo jumper.
ReplyDeleteThis year seems to have gone even quicker than usual x
DeleteWhat adorable photo's of Zack, he is just so huggable!
ReplyDeleteYour two pieces are coming along well, and I'm sure will be ready for Christmas.
It really is getting chilly now isn't it, we were scraping ice off of the car windscreen the other morning. Not fun!!!
Enjoy the rest of your week.
All the best Jan
I do seem to spend a great deal of time kissing and cuddling him x
DeleteGorgeous Grandson, won't be 5 minutes till he's dashing about and causing chaos!
ReplyDeleteThank you, yes I’m making the most of him being stationary x
DeleteSuch a cute photo of Zack! : )
ReplyDeleteGood progress on the cross stitch and jumper.
Thank you x
DeleteThere can never be too many photographs of gorgeous Zack. He's adorable. I hope your cold has gone or is at least swiftly on it's way. X
ReplyDeleteDefinitely on its way out now, luckily I didn’t infect anyone else x
DeleteLovely. Hope your Dad gets through.
ReplyDeleteThank you, hopefully it’ll be done in December x
DeleteLovely photos! Make the most - they grow up so fast! Your cross stitch is coming along beautifully.
ReplyDeleteHe already seems to have changed so much x
DeleteAwwwwwwwww...little Zack couldn't be any cuter. And, the crafts will wait. As they say ......babies don't keep. So, enjoy his baby time while you can.
ReplyDeleteHe looks like such a sweet little boy.
Thank you, I know, it doesn’t seem 5 minutes since his dad was a babe in arms x
DeleteHe's so cute. I hope you feel better soon. That jumper is really coming along nicely! Pretty color.
ReplyDeleteThank you x
DeleteLittle Zack is just adorable Cheryl. Gosh I don't know how you manage looking after him 3 days a week as I have just had my youngest grandson for the day & I am shattered. And the place looks like a bomb site!!! I just don't have the energy I used to have for some reason !!
ReplyDeleteI’m sure we’ll feel like that when he starts running about x
DeleteSuch a little darling - precious as can be! Yes, the time just keeps running away from us, but babies grow so fast. Lovely stitches - hope your Dad's surgery goes well. xx K
ReplyDeleteThank you x
DeleteTime really is flying by isn't it?
ReplyDeleteIt has also gone very cold. Today here is cold and very damp so I have just put the heating on....and it's only just lunchtime.
The cross stitch is looking gorgeous....and that jumper....WOW is all I can say about that.
Hope you find more crafting time.
Hugs-x-
Thank you, I’m hoping to get some time at the weekend x
DeleteOh my, a sweet heart.

2017 is just going by so fast. I am in shock that our Thanksgiving will be here!!
I do like your sewing.
They do grow up so fast, so you have to enjoy these precious times, I know you love your crafting so I hope you can manage to do all the things you want to. xx
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of Zack, they grow up so quickly, where does the time go!
ReplyDeleteGreat progress on Zack's Christmas stocking and Imogen's jumper too, finding time to do any sort of crafting is hard when there is a baby to look after.
Have a good weekend. x
Your little Zack is so sweet. Isn't he growing quickly. Love his smile. His stocking you are stitching is lovely.
ReplyDeleteZack looks so sweet in his jumper, and at the end making a silly face. I just had a grandbaby, and I am filled with joy. She is precious, and her name is Francesca. Zack's stocking is coming along nicely. You are doing a fine job. I'm sorry you had a nasty cold. Guess what? I had a bad cold and sore throat, and it is now an awful cough. I finally took some garlic tablets and feeling better. I haven't been sick in such a long time, but I guess all the running around lately caught up with me. I hope you are feeling better too, Cheryl. Your posts always make me smile. : )

How lovely that your mum and dad got to spend time with Imogen and Zack too.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter would love the skull jumper you are making, she has a real thing for them too.
Hope you find some crafting time.
