The girls are laying again...

We were starting to think our girls weren't going to lay any more eggs for us, it's been ages since we had any fresh eggs from our hens.

Then... woo hoo... Andy went to feed and clean them out and came back with a bag full of lovely, big fresh eggs.

I think I'll use some to make a quiche or 2, and omelets are definitely on the menu - yum! We made a pizza for tea last night, it was delicious.

You can't beat a home made pizza, so much nicer than what the shops sell and you can top it with your favourite things. I keep meaning to get on top of my organisation skills (or lack of) and make a couple more to freeze as it's always handy to have something quick to grab.

The puppies are getting bigger and starting to venture out and about in their playpen. They are just so cute, 2 are very like their dad, and the other 2 more like mum. Prepare for puppy picture overload :)

And if that wasn't sweet enough for you, I'll leave you with a picture of the very tasty chocolate caramel slices we've made.

Take care

  2. Ah those little puppies are the cutest. I know that I've said that already, but it is true. If I was there I would be spending my days doing nothing other than playing with those little beauties.

  7. The puppies are so gorgeous. I don't think I'd get anything done if they were in my house, I'd spend all day just playing with them and cuddling them. The pizza looks delicious, I think it's a good idea to make some to freeze, I should get organised and do that too. Your chickens are definitely spoiling you with all those lovely fresh eggs. There's so much you can do with eggs, so many different meals you can make. Caramel shortbread is Mick's favourite but I haven't made it for a while as I'm trying to lose a bit of weight and I'll only be tempted to eat some if it's in the house.

  13. Naw, those puppies are so cute! But a lot of work I imagine!
I love making pizza, it's quite a regular meal in our house. We make the dough from scratch, and haven't had a shop-bought pizza for many years now. :-)
Enjoy that yummy looking slice, and thank-you for all your lovely comments lately! ox

  15. Your pizzas look amazing! You've reminded me how much I love home made pizza, and I haven't made one for ages. I will rectify that this Easter holiday!
