Thank you for all the lovely comments congratulating Imogen and all the well wishes. Everyone here is much better, just coughs and colds which are gradually going.
Imogen went back to school after half term today so we had a meander around town. There's lots of work going on at the moment, lots of preparations for 2017 when we'll be the City of Culture, all very exciting. I was hoping to be inspired with some ideas for stocking fillers for son and husband (always the hardest to buy for), but nothing caught my eye. While we were out we popped into Waterstones to see their new cafe, grab a cup of tea and a bacon butty.
A little milk bottle, just like being back at school (I actually used to dread the school milk, I really don't like milk).
I saw these really cute little cacti candles, I thought they were so sweet that I had to take a picture with my phone.
Happy Halloween! Imogen loves to dress up and used to love to go trick or treating, but being a bit old for that now she decided to help out at a party instead on Saturday evening. Dad helped with the scary smile
She wore a scary necklace that made her throat look like it had been cut. An old school shirt that she ripped and used fake blood to make the whole thing more gory - yuck!
Imogen had a wonderful evening and managed to scare some people too, which made her very happy! This evening she's gone to the yearly Halloween fair at the park, they do a 'spooky walk' as well which she loves... yikes!
Take care

ReplyDeleteI've taken my grandson trick or treating tonight, he loves all things Halloween and was really excited.
I hope he received lots of treats xx
DeleteWe had chocolate milk in those little bottles at nursery school. Cute bottles. I'd like a few as vases.
ReplyDeleteChocolate milk, that sounds much nicer than what we had xx
DeleteOh, Imogene would scare me for sure! I love milk and remember those little milk bottles. In face, we have a collection of them...that need dusting really badly. :)
ReplyDeleteThat will make her happy. I have 3 little bottles that I have in the kitchen with little posies in them xx
DeleteImogen looks fantastic, brilliant make up and costume. School milk put me off for life, I remember being made to drink it and it was horrible. Glad you're all feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThank you, yes I remember being made to drink the awful stuff too xx

Hello Cheryl, LoVe that little milk bottle .. so cute. Imogen looks amazing !!!! We are a little slow here in New Zealand to get into the Halloween celebrations. But I DID have my first ever trick or treater the other night ... we don't get so many living out in the country. It was SO exciting for me ... she was dressed as a cat !!!! Hope you are having a lovely week Cheryl - pleased to read you are all feeling much improved x x x
