First Quilt

It's been a labour of love, but I finally finished my first ever patchwork quilt this evening. It's very snuggly, and is already being used by Andy to keep him warm while he munches on his post Christmas 'using up the leftovers' snack!

I think it'll become lovely as the years pass and it fades a little and gets worn with use. I really hope it's something that'll be in the family for a long time.

Balance of power

Wet day today, rained all afternoon. Started to find homes for more presents from Christmas and found a very inspirational idea here to do small jobs every day to help declutter the house... can you imagine! Anyway, it's been printed out and pinned up in the kitchen, let's see how we go...

This evening has been spent in pjs (after getting very wet in the park earlier with the dogs). Andy and I decided it was time to play our 2 player Risk. We really enjoy the full version, and bought the 2 player edition so we can play by ourselves. Andy read through the instructions, and we were off...

Yes... he won...

Bit of fresh air

Woke up snuffling and lethargic, so decided we would all benefit from some fresh air. The fur babies always get excited when the car carrier is taken out... it's going to be more than just a walk... they keep jumping in before we even have chance to get their harnesses on!
Imogen was more than happy to have a chance to ride on her new scooter, it was so windy that she was blown along!

The dogs ran all over the place, stretching their legs, finding exciting things to smell and tiring themselves out

Aren't they just gorgeous... nearly all the time!

Number one

My little piece of England, little piece of Yorkshire, it's happy and comfortable, just like me!  I'm besotted with my husband, children and adore my cats and dogs and wanted a place where I can keep my notes and post my photos as reminders for me to look back on.

I love to create! I have a passion for knitting, need to learn to crochet, sewing, scrapbooking, cards, gardening, cooking, or just creating a mess!

We've just had Christmas and Boxing Day, and there're only a few days left for this year, so getting ready with lots of good intentions for the next, hopefully some will be followed through! I'm full of ideas for 2012, lots of things to make and do, weight to lose, exercises to be done, books to read, and trying to make sure I'm the person that I want to be... kwim!
